Our company thrives on values such as trust, authenticity, respect, and integrity, and our culture is shaped by the strong principles and dedication of our employees.Your impact and responsibilities:Daimler Truck Financial Services has a new and exciting 12 month role as the Vehicle Resale Coordinator to join its Operations team at our Head Office in Mulgrave. This role will be a key link leading the connection between our direct customers, dealer network, auction house and other key internal and external stakeholders. Responsible for co-ordinating all returning Guaranteed Buy Back contracts in line with our Customer Journey and processing the returned vehicles and closing contracts – this role encompasses high-level coordination, negotiation and strategic decision-making to drive efficient asset management, optimise outcomes and elevate our customer experience.Reporting to the Team Leader of Operations, your key responsibilities will be:

  • The provision of early termination quotes for the fleet team
  • Monitoring of assets nearing lease maturity and co-ordinating the customer return process Invoicing and collecting Unfair, Wear and Tear costs from the customer
  • Preparing stock for auction, this includes market research into valuations, reserve setting and coordination of stock transport
  • Preparing weekly dealer sales catalogues and assessing dealer offers
  • Monitoring monthly auction results and negotiating via the auction house for the best outcome
  • Checking weekly stock inventory against repossessed asset register
  • Coordinating with Collections team to process and monitor the repossession of stock
  • Cross training with broader teams to assist in peak overflow periods
  • Attendance and active participation in all team meetings, actives and relevant projects
  • Providing a world class customer support experience
  • Support customer and dealer enquiries with Guaranteed Buy Back end term process

What we are looking for:The successful candidate will be a confident and curious problem solver with an ability to take ownership of tasks, learning and adapting as you develop in your role. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for building relationships within the used truck market and related stakeholders, whilst looking to challenge processes to create improvements. Key to this role is an ability to be a self-starter with an ability to negotiate the best outcome for all involved parties, therefore, a sales and goal oriented team player with a keen eye for detail will be highly valued.An understanding of the truck industry and of financial services processes will be advantageous as well as a tertiary qualification in a business or finance related field. This role requires use with Microsoft Office applications and general computer tasks, therefore any skill or experience with these systems is valued.
