We bring together energy, water, climate action, environment, agriculture and resources, and through our vital role in emergency response and commitment to First Peoples self-determination, we lead an ambitious agenda for the state of Victoria.As Senior Communications Adviser (Corporate Communication) you will lead the delivery of best practice internal strategic communications support and advisory for DEECA’s Corporate Services Group, working to drive staff engagement with tailored communications approaches that deliver on the department’s internal communication priorities. The role works closely with Groups across the department to coordinate, develop, curate and produce all staff forums and Executive leaders forums, including sourcing and drafting speaking notes, Secretary messages and developing content for the Ada newsroom. The role also leads the delivery of best practice internal communications plans and products, provides advice to senior executives across the department to ensure corporate priorities are communicated in ways that optimise staff engagement and help build an informed and connected workforce.Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

  • Experience in writing, producing and sharing a range of content and channels for different audiences.
  • Experience in running staff events and in measurement and reporting.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in journalism, communications or public relations, preferably in a government setting.
  • A background in journalist and editorial experience is preferred.

This is an ongoing position. Expected salary: $109730 – 132764 per year
