We employ more than 1,000 staff across Victoria and Tasmania.Our head office provides the strategic direction and corporate support to Wintringham’s aged-care, housing and community care services.Your new roleReporting to the Deputy CEO, we are seeking a dynamic, and experienced Head of Information Technology who will be responsible for aligning IT strategy with Wintringham’s organisational goal to ensure a stable, secure, and user-friendly IT environment, that supports both staff and clients.This will include oversight of the infrastructure, application support/business intelligence, and IT project teams.This senior leadership role requires a proactive and hands-on approach to manage technology systems, ensuring cybersecurity, consider emerging technologies and playing a key role in supporting organisation-wide change projects to enhance operational efficiency and client care.Your responsibilities and duties will include:
- IT Strategy and innovation: Identify emerging technologies/initiatives and execute our information technology road-map
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor high-performing staff including Infrastructure, Applications/BI, and IT Project teams
- Digital Transformation: Be a key member of organisational-wide change management initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, client care, and overall business performance
- Compliance: Ensure Wintringham comply with industry regulations and standards relating to technology, data management and protection
- Vendor Management: Collaborate with external technology partners to procure and integrate software and hardware solutions

We are looking for candidates with the following:
- Proven experience gained in a senior technology leadership role
- Strong critical analysis and problem-solving skills
- Excellent leadership, team management, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Experience with digital transformation initiatives and project management
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external vendors
- Working knowledge of Microsoft technologies in a cloud/hybrid environment
- Knowledge of cyber-security and data privacy best practices
- Strong enterprise application management experience
- Understanding of Business Intelligence (BI) knowledge and skills
- Proficient written communication skills and experience with policy development and internal/external report writing
- Ability to work independently and manage, plan, and support the work of the IT team
- Management of operational and capital/project IT budgets
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to keep abreast of new and emerging technologies
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology, Business)
