Job description: Job Description:The CompanyRobert Half is currently recruiting a qualified (CPA/CA) Senior Financial Accountant to take ownership of the financial accounting and financial Revenue reporting of a long standing and widely known organisation based in the Southeastern Suburbs of Melbourne.Reporting directly to Business Manager, this temporary assignment will see you responsible for assisting in financial year end processes, managing revenue reporting, budgeting, preparation of the General Ledger, preparation of financial reporting and assisting the team when required.This role is an on-site work role with the contract lasting 3 months and starting on the 13th of January 2025The RoleWorking within a professional and dedicated finance team your duties will include:
- Accurate and timely production of the division’s monthly, quarterly and year-end accounts
- general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations
- Financial Reporting
- Preparation of monthly management reports
- Budgeting / forecasting
- Monthly variance analysis
- Assisting with audit
- Ad-Hoc tasks when required
Your ProfileTo be successful in this role you will have worked autonomously within the education industry producing timely & accurate P&L, Balance Sheet and financial reports.
- CPA/CA Qualified with relevant experience to match your qualification.
- Proven financial reporting and technical accounting skills
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills
- Highly organized with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Exposure to Education based accounting systems
