Job description: Overwatch Energy was established in 2019, formed by highly experienced individuals and backed by significant organisations in the energy and infrastructure management sectors. We provide specialist 24x7x365 National Electricity Market (NEM) services to small to mid-size owners and operators of utility-scale renewable energy generation and storage assets. We have grown significantly in the first five years of the company, with more than 3GW under management.Qualifications & experience
- Minimum 2 years experience
- Strong command of spoken and written English
- Strong analytical skills
- Confident in IT systems
- Deep working knowledge of MS Excel, Power BI or similar tools for data analytics, visualisation and operational support
- Strong but modest self-confidence
- Calm under pressure
- Able to work alone without supervision
- Diligent and reliable
- Able to do shift work involving non-business hours
Location
Overwatch is a fully work-from-home organisation but close to Melbourne CBD is preferred for occasional travel for meetings and training etc.Tasks Include:
- Provide support to the Overwatch Energy spot market and plant operation team
- monitor systems and auto-bidding software.
- Under defined guidelines and procedures, re-bid plant in the energy market and monitor dispatch outcomes.
- Provide information and advice to our clients about market conditions and their asset performance.
- Improve organisational processes and procedures to on-board new clients into the Overwatch framework
- Help to understand efficiency and improvement areas and implementing these across processes and procedures.
- Analysing operational data from market information, plant and weather data and providing both regular and ad-hoc reporting.
- assisting and encouraging the development of objectives, strategies, plans and procedures to achieve customer satisfaction and the efficient use of organisations’ resources
- discuss business and organisational shortcomings with clients
- analyse and evaluate current systems and structures
- discuss current systems with staff and observe systems at all levels of organisation
- direct clients towards more efficient organisation and develop solutions to organisational problems
- record and analyse organisations records, reports and manuals
- prepare and recommend proposals to revise methods and procedures and resolve organisational problems
- assist in implementing approved recommendations, issue revised instructions and procedure manuals, and draft other documentation
- review operating procedures and advise of departures from procedures and standards
Expected salary: $100000 per year
